Day 1: Arrival in Hanoi (D)
Welcome to Vietnam, arrival at Hanoi airport, after immigration and customs formalities, you’ll be met by your personal guide and driver, then transfer into the city. On arrival, check-in to hotel.
A cyclo (rickshaw) trip around with 36 streets of Ha Noi ancient town gives you a chance to explore the different local way of life. You will visit a complex of the Hoan Kiem Lake, Ngoc Son Temple (Jade mountain Temple), But Tower (Pen – shaped tower), Dai Nghien (Ink Stand), the Red – painted wooden The Huc Bridge…
Enjoy the Water Puppet Show in the evening. Welcome dinner and overnight at hotel.
Day 2: Hanoi city tour (B,L,D)
All day city tour Hanoi to visit: Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and Museum, President Palace, One Pillar Pagoda, Temple of Literature, West Lake, Quan Thanh Temple, Tran Quoc Pagoda. After lunch at local restaurant, transfer to Vietnam museum of Ethnography where you’ll have a general view about 54 ethnic groups of Vietnam.
Dinner and stay overnight in Hanoi.
Day 3: Hanoi – La ferme du colvert (Hoa Binh) (B,L,D)
After breakfast at hotel, drive up to La Ferme du Colvert. About 2 hours from Hanoi, La Ferme is a very nice and ’secluded’ place to escape the noise and pollution of Hanoi. In the heart of a beautiful Muong hamlet, it’s the ideal place for who are in search of fresh air, quiet, outdoor life and activities. Check in to hotel. Free at own leisure for relaxing at resort. Overnight at La Ferme du Colvert.
Day 4: La Ferme du Colvert (B,L,D)
Free at own leisure for relaxing and discovering at resort.
Day 5: La Ferme du colvert – Cuc Phuong – Ninh Binh (B,L,D)
We leave La ferme to transfer to Cuc Phuong national park, one of the most beautiful and important protected areas of Vietnam.
Visit of endangered primate rescue center and cave of prehistoric man. We walk through a dense forest until the 1000 thousand year old tree (6kms). Come back to the car and then drive to Ninh Binh. After lunch, bicycle to Thung Nang, with beautiful sightseeing and friendly local people. Get on small rowing boats to travel along the canals with local villagers, passing the green fields and enjoying the so called “Ha Long bay On Land”. Overnight in Ninh Binh.
Day 6: Ninh Binh-Ha Long (B,L,D)
After breakfast, you’ll be driven to famous and magnificent Ha Long Bay. Here you’ll board a charming Junk, having lunch while cruising in the magnificent Bai Tu Long Bay, admiring the fascinating rock formations in the bay. Disembark for exploring the secluded Thien Canh Son Cave. You have occasion to swim or do kayak on Hon Co Island. Dinner and stay overnight on board.
Note: The luxury cabins on board are comfortable, clean, air-conditioned, and outfitted with their own and hot shower. This is a join-in cruise (possibility to book a private junk upon request).
Day 7: Ha Long – Hanoi (B,L,D)
Enjoy the bay’s morning landscape with a sunrise breakfast before visiting Vung Vieng fishing village in a rustic rowing-boat, meet the local people and pass through the floating school and fish farms. You have possibility to assist some community activities such as protecting a mangrove forest in Ha Long Bay. Return to the harbor. Disembark and come back to Hanoi. Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 8: Hanoi – Dong Hoi – Phong Nha Ke Bang (B,L,D)
Transfer to the airport, flight to Dong Hoi. Upon arrival, our guide and driver will pick you up to Phong Nha village for having lunch. Go to the core zone of Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park. Arrival in Nuoc Mooc Eco-trail, enjoy swimming or kayaking then check in at Chay Lap Home stay. Dinner and stay overnight in Chay Lap.
Day 9: Chay Lap (B,L,D)
Star trekking for reaching to Thien Duong cave (record by BCA). You have picnic lunch this day. Out of jungle then back to Chay Lap. Kayaking on beautiful Chay river to discovery Dark cave (Hang Toi) or biking. Overnight in Chay Lap.
Day 10: Chay Lap – Quang Tri – Hue (B,L,D)
After breakfast, say goodbye Chay Lap, transfer to Hue with a stopover at historic Khe Sanh Combat, Ho Chi Minh Trail, Dong Ha Town, Rock Pile and Vinh Moc underground tunnel. We arrive in Hue at the end of afternoon. Overnight in Hue.
Day 11: Hue (B,L,D)
After breakfast, you will take a boat trip on the Perfume River to visit Thien Mu pagoda. Then visit the elaborate tombs of Emperor Tu Duc & Khai Dinh. Afternoon, visit the majestic Imperial Citadel of Hue and finish the day with a visit of Dong Ba market. Overnight in Hue.
Day 12: Hue – Hoi An (B,L,D)
Morning, we drive to Hoi An via scenic Hai Van Pass, where we enjoy the spectacular panorama of the central coastline from the summit. Stop at Lang Co to stretch your legs and enjoy the white sands of this peaceful beach. Arrival at the ancient town of Hoi An for lunch time. Afternoon, explore the old port town’s narrow cobblestone streets and visit historic sites including a traditional Chinese trading house, Phuc Kien Pagoda and the 400-year-old Japanese Covered Bridge. Overnight in Hoi An.
Day 13: Hoi An (B,L,D)
This day, you will explore the little and narrow roads along the countryside by bicycle by seeing such as The Water Buffalos, rice paddle field, plenty of organic vegetables, local farming people. You will be amazed how peaceful and friend people are furthermore touching the fishing life by catching fish with the local fishermen’s net, learning how to ride funny basket boat, visiting the beautiful Water Coconut Palm Paradise with its very interesting story to learn about. Return to Hoi An town. Overnight in Hoi An at hotel.
Day 14: Hoi An – Da Nang – Ho Chi Minh city (B,L,D)
Morning, you’ll be transferred to Da Nang airport for your flight to Sai Gon. Upon arrival in Sai Gon, you’ll be driven into town to hotel. After lunch, you will immediately begin your exploration of Sai Gon, the economic powerhouse of Vietnam. You will visit the Reunification Hall and the former US Embassy. Historically, both buildings symbolize the deep scars of this once war-torn country. You also have the chance to see the War Remnant Museum, the Notre Dame Cathedral and general post office which was reportedly designed Gustave Eiffel. Walk amongst the frenzied merchants and buyers of Cho Lon market and visit Thien Hau Pagoda. Have a dinner at local restaurant. Stay overnight in Sai Gon.
Day 15: Ho Chi Minh city – Mekong Lodge (Cai Be) (B,L,D)
We drive up to Cai Be, upon arrival, boat trip to get Mekong Lodge. Afternoon walking around the village and visit the homes factories of Candy and handicraft nearby the village.
Late afternoon participating in a cooking class and dinner with what you’ve cooked.
Overnight in the lodge.
Day 16: Mekong Lodge – Saigon (B,L)
After breakfast, walking or cycling tour around the island. Go to one of the orchard, free fruits picking of mango, rambutan, longan…
Boat transfer to Cai be harbor. Return to Saigon. Free at own leisure (foot massage may be offered) until transferring to the airport, flight to departure.
